Renowned Kurdish star Chopy Fatah at AUK
The American University of Kurdistan (AUK) in Duhok on June 7, 2022 celebrated the third commencement ceremony, hosting high-level officials and renowned Kurdish star and singer, Chopy Fatah whose performance was a part of the celebratory program.
“I am very happy to be here singing. I am proud of all the students studying at AUK, I wish them all the success,” the singer said ahead of her performance.Chopy performed Kurdish songs on AUK’s stage for one hour.
The ceremony honored the academic success of a total of 145 students who successfully graduated with a bachelor’s degree. The event was attended by His Excellency President of the Kurdistan Region Nechirvan Barzani, His Excellency Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, other local officials, as well as families and friends of the students.
